Newbie looking for first 1 series - need you eyes in helping to find

Great forum, would like to become an active member once I find the right car for me.

Been trawling through ebay, autotrader, gumtree etc daily in search of a BMW 116i SE in black, manual, 5drs and with the newer 1.6l engine. Sadly not had much luck.....where are these cars hiding?

I have a budget of £7000 and would like to pick up a 50k ish 57-09 plater if possible.

I would greatly appreciate your eyes on the ground and a heads up if anyone spots a good example for sale when out and about.

    Travelling to check out a 09 116i 2.0 litre metallic black sport tomorrow with 50k on the clock. Looks a great spec with the red and black interior and the 5 spoke alloys. Car has had two owners and was a trade in at a bmw dealership. Any advice on things i should look out for on the vehicle? Not sure what the servicing intervals and what major work should have been on this vehicle at this mileage and age (cambelt?)
