Hi guys just got a Mini Cooper s 2007 with 85k on it. Fantastic little car, goes like stink. Already replaced a few cosmetic parts and trying to find my way around it. Looks like there is plenty of info online. Thought I might join an owners club for the best tips and advice.

Anyone help me with what to look out for on a car this age?

I've already found out through a Google search that I should probably change the tyres. The car is sitting on 18in JCW rims with 215/35 tyres. When they wear down I'll probably put 215/40s on it.

Car is in great nick with very few stone chips or scratches. Even the interior isn't bad although the front seats are showing a little age. Anyone stick replacement seats in a MCS?

One thing I was worried about was the heat coming through the bonnet from the supercharger/inter cooler. It gets too hot to touch after a reasonably short journey. Never had a supercharger before so I'm not sure what to expect.

Sorry for so many questions. Looking forward to hearing all about your wheels!
