Newbie to this forum.

Just bought myself a BMW 520D Se 2011 F10. Picking it up Saturday.

What do I need to know about it?

Its got:

Sat Nav

Bluetooth - Can I stream music?

Leathers

Electric Mirrors - are they folding?

Diesel? - I usually use vpower/high octane in my other cars.. normal or vpower in these?

    Hello Mohamed, and welcome. Sorry, can't help with any answers to your specific questions as I'm back in Pre-historic days with my e46 328, but I am a strong supporter of V Power fuel, and always use it, I feel my 328 runs much smoother with it, and one thing for definite, I get 27/28 mpg against 25 at best with any other fuel. I don't know, of course, about Diesel though! Enjoy your new car, sure you will!

    Hi

    google for "BMW VIN checker" put the last 7 digits of your VIN in there and you will be able to see the build spec of your car. Bluetooth streaming and folding mirrors were optional extras on 2010-2011 cars AFAIK.

    As for fuel, there's those that do believe in the high performance diesel fuels and those that don't. Some swear by supermarket fuels. You pays your money and takes your choice, V Power nitro+ diesel is about 8p/litre pver standard Shell.

    I've run 5 series diesels for well over 100k and even running on VPN+ over a 2,200 mile period, I never saw a reduction in fuel consumption which made it value for money. Each to their own.
