Hi,

I'm new to the forum and when joining I hoped that I'd be able to get some buying information from the community. I have never owned a BMW, so this will be my first. I have been looking at both 118D and 120D M Sports and have decided to go for a 118D. Having never owned one, I don't really know what to look. I would really appreciate it if someone or a number of you would be able to point out what to look for when looking at a 1 series. I am going to look at one at a garage this coming weekend, with a hope to buying it if all goes well.

    What are the service intervals for the 1 series and what should it have had done on any service it's had up to now?

    Hi James,

    So it isn't a schedule as such? For example, my current car a Citroen C2 is 20,000 or two years and has a major service after 72,000 or 6 years.
