Hi And Help Re Usb Audio Devices

Hi everyone, former 120D Convertible owner just taken delivery of my new Cooper SD Convertible and loving it. At last a front wheel driver that drives like a proper car :-)) (All you FWD fans don't get upset, this is my third S, the first a 1968 owned in 1976, then a 1999 S Works bought new and owned until 2003 and now the SD.

Only issue is the USB interface for the Audio System which I don't seem to be getting right. I've read the handbook and the information on the MINI website. Using a SanDisk 32GB Memory stick although I'm well under the number of tunes the system can handle, plus also using the preferred file system but just get an "error" symbol when I try and load from the stick.

Anyone know where I'm going wrong?

      Hi Joe If memory serves 2e41 is bad communication between the EWS and DDE the other 2e47 is Thermostat or Sensor related. Looks like that sorts your weekend Dave

      Sorry of mentioned before, started car this morning and was fluctuating a little on idle. Completely fine after a few mins. Though I'd scan the car anyway and found errors 2e47 and 2e41 stored. They are intermittent and once cleared, don't come back for a while but I thought I'd check in case it was something to worry about? E87 118d N47 Cheers, Joe

      Been a while, forgot to update sorry. Turned out to be the belt tensioner pulley at fault, bearing was goosed. Hope this helps some people.

      Use of an Airtag or Similar on the Key FOB ?

      I was an airline mechanic up until I retired 2 years ago. There isn't any carrier Under US FAA or EASA regulations that restricts the use of any airtag or similar device. Lufthansa was rumored to have tried, using the interference claim but quickly denied it when it's customers heard about it. Our shop actually put tags on specialized tools so the Tool Room could track them and since new generation tags can have a range of 90' to as much as 450' it help prevent tools from leaving the hanger or being left on the aircraft. The Avionics guys I worked with all seem to agree that for my purposes there shouldn't be any issues and just say to monitor the batteries in the key and tag. They will get you close enough to what ever they're attached to that if you can't se what your looking for you can tap your smartphone and the'll put out a tone like a ring. The ones made by TILE can be used in reverse if you have your FOB but can't find your phone, tap on them and the signal will have your phone ring. I ordered one Apple Airtag and One Tile Pro. I carry a battery for my FOB in my wallet so should they drain the battery I can just toss a new battery in and remove the tag if I decide it's an issue. It'll take awhile to decide but I'm gonna give em a try. !
