Before turning the starter can you hear the pump priming? It will be a slight buzz, if not then suspect that.

If no fuel from filter then it will be the pump or its electrical feed - run a live to the pump from the battery.

There WILL be air in the system also so while you assess the pump with a live feed (and it works) press the valve on the fuel rail to expel air...

If NO joy with direct live feed then it will be the pump, if it works then suspect the relay or wiring ;)

    It will be under the bonnet concealed under a plastic cover probably with the 80amp starter fuse/relay ;)

    Thanks, il have a look, I pumped the fule pump manually (for some reason people were telling me it's electric fule pump on these?) anyways the fule start coming up after few minutes whilst pumping the pump, going to build it back up tommorrw, hoping for the best it starts all ok... Will let you know the outcome thanks again.

    Thanks all sorted any idea where I can get hold of bmw e21 Haynes manual? I've seen quite a few in ebay but not any for 318?
