Today, I am BL**DY SEETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOT day today, and failed on a tyre with dangerous splits on the inside wall, and another advise same thing starting. Add to this that I had to replace a tyre a couple of months ago for the same reason, and East Dorset County Council have cost me £300 with their dangerously high speed humps. I know exactly the road, as its the only one I ever travel along that has them, and now I use a lengthy detour to avoid it. Any one reckon I would get anywhere trying to get my tyres paid for? MOT tester said I could have actually suffered a blow out with goodness knows what consequences!!

I would say it IS the fault of constant hump pressure, like mounting a 5" kerb everyday !!

Having said that, are those road humps' angles quite steep or soft gradients?

Simple potholes do cause considerable suspension and tyre damage, so why wouldn't road humps????

The contruction of a tyre has MANY wires which we all know snap after constant flexing... This initially will cause "blebs" or bulges in the tyre walls when they snap/give-way... Road-humps are as much an issue as pot-holes IMHO :(
