Hi all from milton keynes have a 3 series 09 plate tidy little diesel, its completely standard bit looking to add a sub and amp in the boot but dont want to change the head unit is this possible at all?

welcome to the forum - :)

it may be possible but as far as I know if you change the head unit you will get more/better sound with an amp from it. the standard unit has a built in amp too.

theres no phono leads output for the standard unit so you will have to use the crossover box and wire it up.
