Is there any resistance still with the lever or do you think the cable has become disconnected?

If it is still attached it my just be the catch on the bonnet is stuck and a certain amount of pushing and pulling while someone holds the lever back with copious amounts of WD40 sprayed through the gap may free it.

Hey Deb,

Yes, bit of a pain on the E36. You'll need to go through one of the kidney grilles and use a big ol' screw driver to attack the mechanism. It's said you'll need to get one of the head lights out too which is a pain.

Good luck,

Daz

Hi guys, thanks for replying.

There is no resistance on the lever so hoping the cable has come loose.. We tried one person on lever with another pushing bonnet..

Yes i think the E36 is abit of a pain and have my friend coming out tomorrow and think we need all the luck we can get

Thanks guys
