  1. Retail is normally around the £200 mark, but i used to advertise doing these at £100 a set
  2. It's the offside wiring loom where it runs from body to tailgate the constant flexing slowly breaks the wiring, and yes the aerial receiver is under the spoiler, if u roll back the rubber sleeve u should see it I normally just solder the wires back together as a new look is a mare of a job
  3. No worries, when u do remove the swirl flaps its best to screw the vacuum unit back on and reconnect it That way all the engine management side of things still thinks its operating as normal but not actually controlling Anything
  4. Hi You got 2 pumps on the e39 one inside the tank which is a primary pump if that's ok most likely to be the inline pump under the plastic trim under the near side of the car.
  5. Hi mate Most of the 4 cylinder diesels have the 22mm blanks
  6. I reckon uve probably got most of it covered, but really e39s aren't that bad, Jus to let u know the red dot doesn't necessarily mean it's been clocked, it's a tamper light And can come on when control modules have been replaced with second hand parts. I've fitted second hand lcm's (light control modules) in the past and because their allocated to chassis number Even when programmed into a different car it doesn't overwrite the chassis number of the old vehicle hence The tamper light illuminating. Good luck with the search I'm sure you won't be disappointed with an e39
  7. The airbag won't need coding as it will just inflate when started and the pump kicks in and I'm fairly sure the level sensor won't need coding either. My only advise is to make sure you pull the fuse for the air compressor before draining The air, with wheels off the ground, so it doesn't trying pumping up .
  8. Yeah your right they have a space saver on the e46 and the 330 does have the 17" I think it's a 125/80 17 or something along those lines. And most others do have the 16"
  9. Sounds weird, basically cylinders 1,2 & 3 are your bank 1 And 4,5 & 6 are bank 2, so can understand the O2 sensor on bank 1 Picking up a fault if you have a miss on 1 & 3, but bank 2 readings should be ok Sensor 2 is just a reading sensor as sensor 1 on each bank is the signal sensor. Guess if uve done the plugs and coils, and you're getting a spark through the plugs And no air leaks, ull need to compression test the cylinders and check the fueling side ie injectors
  10. Oh and if you do end up getting sensors and spraying them don't put the paint On to thick because they won't work.
  11. Na the sensors are cheap enough from main dealer, but u may have to spray them. on some models They do a colour coded alternative or find some on eBay. U may have to drop the rear bumper but that's Easy enough on those.
  12. I'm with daz on that one, definitely sell it and buy a 6 pot A lot of work involved in changing it and the 4 pot valvetronic engine Is the worst engine bmw ever made their more trouble than their worth mate!
  13. Hi More than likely an air leak on an e39, and no the stereos won't interchange I'm afraid.
  14. Yes solid beep means malfunction, if you turn ignition On but don't start it and stick it in reverse then put your ear to each of The sensors u should hear a ticking noise from each of the sensors. If u can't then it's Probably a faulty sensor, if that fails get it plugged in to a diagnostic machine and read. I've replaced several sensors on e46s. Hope that's some help
  15. Hi Yeah daz is right take out the kidney grills and dislodge The plastic behind an ull be able to get to the cable between the 2 catches.
