I have just bought my first BMW , a 2000 e39 520i auto, I got it very cheap. Its in limp mode and was told the code read was kick down switch. Also the speedo and fuel consumption gauge isnt working. Would these put it into limp mode ? If so could someone plz give me some advice plz...thanks all

    Is the abs light on as well? I believe the speedo and mpg gauge get their signal

    Be a fault with the connection on the back of instrument cluster or faulty gauge itself.

    I don't think these codes would put it into limp mode, so may be worth getting it read.
