Hi all!

Just to introduce myself I'm Gazz, currently living in the west Midlands near Wolverhampton, and looking to buy my first bmw! I'm looking at the 5 series E60 but having quite decided which engine I'm setting my sites at yet. I took a 530d for a spin today and was very impressed! And as I will be towing a large caravan when on my jollies I could quite easily talk myself into the 3 litre, although in reality I'd probably be wiser going for the 2.5 or maybe even the 2.0. Especially as I have a 46 mile round trip to commute which is mainly motorway so a good mpg return is very handy! But that's partly why I'm here, to pick your brains and speak to you guys that have experience with these beasts and find out what I'm better going for and what to look out for with them!

I'm off for a nose around the forum now to see what info I can find meanwhile any advice would be very much appreciated!

    Oh ps when I joined it needed to know my current bmw, I entered the details for the one I just viewed. I'll update it when I have bought one!
