Hi need help asap x5 locked tryed to unlock via key hole but key just spins in hole there is no car battery in the jeep at the moment

    If they are anti-theft free spinning lock barrels then you'll need to butcher the tailgate a tad... The best way (if there is one!) is to remove the number plate and drill an access hole in such a way that the number plate will conceal its repair afterwards...

    Using this hole to access the actuator rods and manipulate it to release the lock/catch, then install battery !

    Other method is remove the kidney grille and chop into the plastic cowling top outer corners to gain access to the bonnet catch cables, yank on these or poke at the catches to open the bonnet then connect jump leads to the positive terminal and earth to bring the chuffer to life !!

    Worse case scenario - nip to breakers n buy a door glass... You know the rest ;)
