Cheers Mick, even after a brief search I see there is a ton of knowledgeable info on here, i've already switched to non runflats and thinking of a remap so i'll be checking out the forums

The runflats had to go jeffthro, but who's bright idea was it to put the battery in the tyre well in the boot? I've got a full size spare in the boot which leaves little room for anything else!

Yep, I know. All part of the great conspiracy! I've got one of those kits which come with a lot of new cars nowadays which eliminates even a spacesaver spare, a little compressor which plugs into cigarette lighter or boot socket, a bottle of sealant which all then is fitted onto the tyre valve, switch on, and seals and pumps up all in one. Tyre cannot be repaired, but gets you home without too much hassle, and its a nice "comfort blanket" to just leave in the boot all the time. alternatively, you can spend £9.99 at Halfords for an aerosol can which is meant to do the same thing, although personally I feel a bit iffy about one small aerosol pumping the tyre up sufficiently to be a safe drive home.

I was given a compressor and sealant when I bought the car as the dealer had fitted two new front tyres (non runflat) so when it came time to replace the rears I opted for non runflats and bought a full size spare and jack kit - it was a bit pricey at the time but I dont really do that many miles so the tyres should last a long time.

I dont do enough miles to warrant buying a diesel really but after reading all the reviews and finding the exact spec I wanted for the right price I just had to have it - great motors.

No laughing now but I had a mint 53 plate Black 320ci 65k and sold it for a Volvo C30!!!! I had that for approximately 6 months, god I hated that car, I dont know what possessed me!

I prefer the full size spare too Mick, but I just wish it fitted in the tyre well in the boot, its a daft idea putting the battery there, surely they could of pressed another space for that? I'm off on a golfing trip to Devon next month, that should be a bit of squeeze! 2 golf bags, cases and the spare! Never mind, its a great car
