Thinking Of An X5 3D Auto

Featured Replies

Hi all

Im thinking of getting a 2002-2004 x5 3d sport auto, what things do i have to look out for when viewing cars? Most cars ive looked at on the net have done between 100,000-150,000 miles is that likely to be an issue? Im not really that bothered about it as ive owned quite a few diesels.

Thanks for any feed back

Personally I would say that the gearbox is the thing to watch on them, when I was looking it seems to be from about 90k onwards they seem to need a box overhaul.

Mine had been done and goes great.

Brilliant thank you, ill make sure i find 1 that has already had it done, would a manual be better than an auto? Its my wife that would drive it more than me but i think she would benefit from an auto but if its much better to have a manual then ill go for that instead.
