Hi everyone, new member. i have a 1999 540i which is pretty much faultless. i have two questions if anyone can help. firstly i have the fitted car phone but its not hands free. is it faulty or can it be modified?

Second, the car was supplied new with the TV but not sat nav. is istalling sat nav as simple as sticking the sat nav box in the boot or do i need the new head unit too? is it plug and play.

any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I know what you mean Jon. I prefer the OE look too. May be worth finding the model of the original sat nav and talking to BMW about when the most recent update was released?
