Hi all -- new to the forum.

I have a 2000 330i SE Touring .

I am confused as to exactly what engine I have as there appears to be a different model for 2000 and 2001.

My car feels like it accelerates faster than the 9.5 secs of the 2000 spec but it was registered in Sept 2000!

A CAP valuation gives this technical information:

Engine Power 170bhp 0-62 9.5secs

I tried doing a VIN check on line but the VIN I haver taken from my windscreen is returned as invalid :(

WBAAW52090JU50072

On the car the J does have a Serif at the top post-7625-0-23830900-1385974227.jpg but I cannot see that this is anything other than a J ( I tried T!)

Can anyone help me to check this VIN ?

    Running a vin check there gave me:

    This indicates that the information provided by the CAP valuation is inaccurate!!
