Hi all,

I have a 318ti sport edition m series,

I am looking for an induction kit for this car and i was woundering what other people have done on theres and what works and what does not,

Also any pictures on how it looks would help as well.

Hi Smithy,

I currently have a Pipercross induction kit of my E36 318is, which I am very happy with. A lot of people recommend putting a cone filter type inside the original air intake box, or a uprated panel filter in the original box e.g. K&N.

ow right ok, i have the added challange of trying to put the air intake sensor somewhere if i put a cone on though,

Also how have you delt with the cone sucking in worm air when it is sat in the engine bay

Well I put a hole in the silicone hose and put the air intake sensor in there. The warm air in the engine bay doesn't really bother me to much. Don't feel it makes a difference especially as it's not a high performance machine haha. that's why people put the cones in original box to stop that. You can also make yourself a kind of heat shield if you like and run a cold air hose from somewhere like the fog light area to the cone.
