Hi all I have a e39 528i sport with all mtec extra etc etc

It has the built in nav screen etc but it shows maps and roads but won't let me find a destination or start a navigation it just shows the map and it looks like something from n ancient games console

Can I update it all some how and make it work so can be used as a sat nav not just a map screen????

Is it just a case of putting in an updated disc????

Any help or advise be great thanks

    On screen on dash my hand book says it's meant to say navigation as well as all the other options like on board computer and setup etc it got everything there apart from the navigation so I'm guessing the disc will put it all back on there????

    Yeah for sure... Make a point to check the units in the boot area, tends to get damp in there ;)

    Without screen info on boot up you won't know the software version... The hardware version is on the Module in the boot ;)
