Due to medical problems I am thinking of changing to an automatic car. Same model and car but with an step auto gear box. Rather than shell out more for another car I was wondering how feasible it is to do a gearbox change on my car. I realised with modern cars it is much more complex but I was wondering how do-able it is? If so how much, what is required etc... Thanks!

    Easier to go from manual to auto than other way but its a big job... Pedal block, ECU's, looms etc... Trade it in for an auto ;)

    Damn! I don't really want to change my car as I've got the perfect model I like just without an auto gear box.. no idea why I bought a manual! Is it really that much of an operation? I can see it being a pain and quite costly as there is no way I could do it myself....... LOL :rolleyes:
