Hello, we have just joined pre-empting our purchase of a 320d

Is there anything we should be weary of?

We will use the search bar after this post but spoon feeding is welcomed.

Looking on Parkers it says a '53 320d should be 3k trade, but looking they are nearer 4-6k.

We have seen one I like the look of, 4 Door Saloon, Silver '04 ES with 73k for 4k.

Any feed back appreciated

    If its a long-term purchase then go for it, options are there, like higher mileage ones (say 120k) could save you 1500 !

    Most common issue on those diesels were the swirl-flaps but think they were sorted 2002+... Other than that just like any other car TBH ;)

    Ended up buying an E46 '03 SE with 93.5k

    Enjoyed the drive home felt comfy, though when I got home I turned off, then went to go the shops but a light came up...

    The read light cluster wasn't working, undid the plug and pin 2 looks burnt, checked the other side which was the same just not as bad, got it working again but will either replace or upgrade the connection.

    I imagine there is something on the forum about this already
