Noobie Looking For Info On Buying A 840

Hi there I have just joined as I am considering Replacing my mercedes clk320 for a 840 and I was wondering what I should be looking for, and what is the common faults on these cars?

Any advice and guidance would be appreciated

    First of all. Fantastic choice. The 840i stands out much more than any mercedes and, lets be honest... if you buy a car like that, it's nice to have your personality stand out a tad eh? B)

    Common faults?... Ummm. Not many. They are VERY good cars. You will hear things said about the Nikisil cylinder liners on those V8s but honestly, I have give you a tonne of reasons NOT to worry yourself about that "Now" so, honestly.. don't worry. Just check the usuals like door seals etc. Big engine so keep your ears open for front suspension issues!

    There is a Wheeler Dealer episode that might give you some pointers maybe? Mike Brewer is a bit of a door-knob but, hey-ho...
