  1. Along the way I have heard a great deal about Z3 rear brake rattle when going over bumps. I stripped the brakes several times but couldn't find the fault. I even took it to a BMW dealer and they couldn't give any advise. I kept thinking this was an issue with the caliper but after stripping again last weekend I realised it's the hand brake cable where it enters the back of the hub. There are 2 issues about this. 1, the clips that hold the cable in place by the rear suspension break, an easy fix is a simple cable tie. The 2nd is the tension on the cable itself. To check this remove the handbrake gator (it just pops off), put the handbrake to its off position and check how much slack is on the cable. If loose adjust a little at a time and check again. My brakes are now perfectly quiet and it only took a few minutes to resolve. I may work for other BMW's that share the same issue. Rich
  2. Hi Everyone. I have a really nice early Z3 but the door handle has broken on the passenger side, does anyone have a spare I could purchase. Rich 07876551188
  3. Howdy Geoff, pictures coming shortly.. I also own another BMW, a R1200RT which I really love but my wife worries about 2 wheel touring so the arrival of the Z3 feels like motorbiking on 4 wheels, I am happy, my wife is happy - next stop Italy :-)
  4. Hi All, I own a 1.9 Z3 which has red leather seats. As it's an early model the drivers side bolter is worn and needs replacing/repairing. Does anyone know how to go about this or do you possibly have some decent condition seats you want to sell.
  5. Hi All, got my first Z3 and I love it. I hope some of you can halp with a couple of issues which I will post later.
