  2. HI guys, Wonder if anyone can guide me here a little. Ive got a 2001 320d touring. (love it) but the BC doesnt work. Display is fine but when i push the BV button on the end of the stalk it doesnt cycle through the options ive been told it should do. MPG etc.... Im now being told that it can be a very expensive job to repair and that my local BMW garage want absolutly massive money for a new indicator stalk. So my question is. Has anyone had this before and is there anything i can check myself in the hunt to make it work again without having to buy a stalk straight away which as far as i can see might not even be the problem. Thanks in advance.
  3. Just had it looked at. Completely ruined lol, 520 to sort out. Im looking at alternatives lol
  4. Hi all Help needed please if i may. Ive just took my car to a garage and been told that im looking at least 600 quid for a whole new exhaust system as mine is completely shot. He cant even salvage the back box as somebody welded it on in a bodge job. Can anyone point me in the direction of any cheap alternatives? I remember when i had my vectra i had one of the cats removed and a straight pipe put through but im not seeing anything like this for my BMW. Just looking for as cheap as possible lol. Hopefully anyway Thanks in advance
  5. So true.
  6. See 200 i could live with easily lol. Just on the last service the guy wrote on the receipt 'cat front pipe cracked'
  7. Sad news lol. Was hoping that somebody was just trying to make more money off me lol. Thing is the car i actually think is worth it. I have a mate who runs a bodywork shop so i was going to get all the little marks taken out etc.... Think i may just keep shopping around and just get it done lol Thanks for the reply though, much appreciated.
  8. Hi all Just need a little advice if i may. Basically i bought a 2001 320d touring. Tbh i really like it, very comftable. Yet there are a couple nagging things i have found. First, the rear wiper doesnt work and im not sure if this is a common fault or not. And secondly which is the big one is that im told that the front cat pipe is cracked. Im being told that its a minimum of a 400 quid job. Can anybody verify that? Just want to make sure that im not going to be ripped off. And through my own fault i need a new front bumper lol Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks
  9. I did exactly the same method on my old vectra using Megs. Came out like a mirror. Good tut mate thanks
