  1. Take it for a drive until the engine is hot and you have heating that will melt ya face on hot, that way you know the gearbox is up to temp, let the car idle for a couple of minutes, turn it off, get it up in the air then drain it and leave it draining while you go make a brew. By the time you've done that you should have virtually everything out of the gearbox. Then fill it up from there until it start coming out the filler hole. If you haven't got much in start the car for a couple of seconds then try filling it up again you should be able to get it all in that way. You might be having issues filling your torque converter up
  2. Loving the quacker in the back! Nice z3 aswell
  3. Right, spoken to bmw down here, the oil they use is texamatic 7045e, your gear box from empty holds 8.5 litres and they sell it at £6.19 a litre which equates to £56. Had a look on fleebay and its gonna be cheaper to get it straight from bmw. My bmw dealer only keeps it in drum form and only has nine litres in stock.
  4. I would wait and ring BMW themselves. That way you can get the exact oil for your car. If you have problems pm me your reg and I'll get it from them for you
  5. Welcome along, I'm much the same as you, Ford man but fancied a change. Where abouts in Hertfordshire are you?
  6. Yeh I can, but they are crappy. The rest are of the incomplete build I'm doing on it
  7. It should say in your owners manual what oil the gearbox takes, how much and to what standards the oil needs to meet.
  8. Right, these tyres are 255/50 and 285/45 19's, the two 255's have 6mm across the width of the tyres, the two 285's have 5/3/5 and 5/3/4 from outside to inside across the tread, some !Removed! has obviously run to high pressures in te rears, like I say I want offers over £200 for the lot as the will last a good couple if thousand miles yet, all are Michelin Latitude Diamaris as specced by BMW apparently. Viewing is welcomed please email me at [email protected] or ring 07833464737 after 1800 and before 0800 as I am a vampire and work nights Cheers Tom
  9. As the title states, how many cars/vehicles do you own, I was thinking I might have too many so I'll go first: 1. Ford Racing Puma number 383 2. XR2 3. Ford Puma 1.4 4. 120d 5. Ford Transit BT box van 6. Yamaha MT03 Have I got too many?
  10. Welcome along, slightly jealous you've got yourself a z4, that will be my next bmw to add to my ever growing collection of cars
  11. Got bored at work so I started to tart up the engine bay:
  12. Sounds like you've either put the wrong oil in it or you've got a sensor that's playing up
  13. You need two pairs of components, one pair for the front and one pair for the rear, crossovers will come with these, two class AB amps, 2 channel or a single four channel class AB amp, these/this will power the speakers. It's possible you want some line drivers to keep the power to the components but that's up to you. That should give you the mid range and clarity top end
  14. ##### yeah, count me in, depending on the day I may well be in my FRP
  15. cheers, though my birthday was 3 months ago
  16. As of today, I'm 9572 days old
