    im pretty sure im going to have to change mine... it sounds like something has come off inside the drum. scrapes quite loudly and stops when the handbrake is applied... the handbrake effectiveness is probably about 2% :rolleyes: :lol: so i need to investigate further me thinks ...

    hi guys. im feeling the need to upgrade to leather seats. i have found a set out of a 1996, 5 door tourer, and was planning to fit these in my 1995 4 door saloon - the guy selling them seem concerned they wont fit?? will i have trouble with the rear seats?? thanks in advance guys... Rick

  7. hiya Kath! well, you are a woman after my own heart... i too am a man of VW background, having owned many retro and modified dubs... so you are in good company :D i became a daddy nearly 6 months ago, and gave in to family pressure, and opted for something more suitable for family life... ive harboured a secret love for another german motor for a long time... :D so now, i have best of both. i have a VW project tucked away (for when i get those extremely rare days i actually have time to tinker) and the beemer as my everyday car - and so far all is well :D

  11. alright boys and girls all i want to know from the people who service their own vehicles, where do you generally tend to buy your engine / gearbox / final drive oil and filters etc etc from?? what oil is best suited to my 2.8 E36? i popped in halfords, and the chart suggests either 10/40 semi synth, or mobil 5/40 fully synth what do you guys suggest? cheers

  14. dont get me started on insurance... i had to abandon this years policy that runs out in march, cos i had bought a rear wheel drive, and my company WOULDN'T insure me! ive been driving for 13 years now :blink: b####s... :lol:
