  1. Discovered problem. Replaced Camshaft Position Sensors, Inlet & Exhaust - runs like a new car now
  2. I had a similar problem with my Z3. Had been using Shell VPower and realised that the garage I ALWAYS used wasn't selling enough to maintain fresh supplies. I put a gallon of ordinary 95ron in with a double dose of Millers fuel additive and away she went. Use it all the time now, it runs like a new car, emissions are brilliant and mpg has improved at least 10%. Worth a try if no-one can find a mechanical fault.
  3. I have now tried adding Millers Eco Max petrol additive (double dose) which has worked wonders, running smooth, no cutting out - magic! Must have been caused through just running 95ron petrol (super-unleaded is as rare as hens teeth in rural scotland and when you can get it, its probably been lying in their tanks for weeks!)
  4. Recently I have been suffering a spate where the engine keeps cutting out for no obvious reason. Its worse when I fill up with petrol but happens at other times. Am in the process of establishing if its contaminated petrol (have always used Shell Vpower) although are currently trying 95ron+ Millers petrol additive, but I think it might be something more sinister. There are no warning lights showing to indicate a problem. If it was injectors or fuel pump, would they show a warning light? Anyone got any ideas?
