    120D Turbo Issues

    My E81 120D SE Automatic is currently in for a software upgrade to get rid of a couple of niggling electrical problems, but I have been told by the garage that the turbo is kaput. I haven't noticed any drop off in performance, and fuel consumption remains constant at around 47mpg. Does anyone have experience of turbo failures, and their symptoms, because I am a bit sceptical?

    Dump Valve And Re Mapping

    I Have re-mapped my 120D automatic using Bluefin from Superchips. BHP increased from 177 to 221 but the best bit is the increase in torque from 350nm to 453nm. If you use the extra for pleasure, you will drink diesel, but a light right foot gives over 50mpg average, and the power is always there when you need it. You can also return the settings to original if you want but the result will make you change back quickly!!! Hope I'm not too late for you.
