  8. ๐Ÿ˜”blew a piston m8ty, well either that or a piston ring, too much like a specialist tool nightmare for me!! So if you need any bits, at a good price for a e36 328i just give me a holla.... Cwyyyyiiiiig, ova yooooooou, cwyyyyyyiiing, ova yooooooou......
  9. Mixed emotions: bought my Scooby today!!! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ My poor Zimmer Is now a donor car ๐Ÿ˜ž Probably means that unless you guys need any parts I'll never get to a meet... Still was good whilst it lasted!! Lol ๐Ÿš— ๐Ÿ’จ
  10. If I was you m8 I'd grab a Haynes manual & sort the job yourself, brake calipers are very simple in design and very easy to sort..... Sounds like a splash of wd40 and some grease will fix your troubles, probably worth checking pads n disks whilst your there, just keep anything greasy away from pads n discs ๐Ÿ˜ฃ If you can bite the bullet n try this job yourself, you'll save a fortune in the future....
  11. Looks like I'm gonna break my baby down... Mrs refused to let me buy another Zimmer so unfortunately I've gone with a Scooby, good news though, parts available of you guys need em.. Cheers lads

  15. Right...... Been looking into taking the head off..... OMG!! what a nightmare it looks...... All the specialist tools needed, Dont think im gonna bother. Can anyone recomend a trustworthy & reliable company to fit a fully rebuilt engine for me? been searching for hours & always get knocked back by reviews..... Oh found this site which could be of great use to anyone wanting to work on their zim zimmer...... http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/techarticles/101-projects-17-head-gasket/101-projects-17-head-gasket.htm cheers

  18. Anyone wanna tow me down?? Lol :-)
  19. Please do... Stupid IPhones I blame, just as bad as my car! Lol
  20. :-) if ya had seen the plugs you would understand why they wouldn't fire, might as well have wrapped the electrodes in leccy tape!! Lol I'm just praying it's only the head gasket gone n flooded engine with oil, unlikely as water fine.... What a headache!! Might be worth boring it out to a 3.0 whilst appart?? And an addition of a supercharger maybe!? Nah, now I'm dreaming!! Lol
  21. Right, just woke up..... Ran a compression test ( on removal, all plugs were very black & covered in what looked like burnt oil ((only bought em a week ago))) most cylinders were running between 10 & 11 but cylinder 1 = 9 and cylinder 6 = 8 will retest with a drop of oil once battery charged up again to see if rings gone, either way its a head off job!!! oh and cylinders 5 & 6 both had oil over the spark plugs ( not from rocker cover ) Gawd I hate cars!!!
  22. sounded like an army of pellets through cat (new) knockin from engine loads of smoke from exhaust, battery charged now, turns over but no fire, will do a compression test in the next day or two..... personally i think a piston has a gaping hole in it :-( has anyone a very large hammer i can borrow!! whats the going rate for a recon unit lads? thanks for your help n thought............
  23. Lol tell me about it!! Have pulled both traction control & abs relays and fuses, just waiting for battery to charge n see what the damage is.... Hoping it will start but as it made lots of funny noises lost all power and had to be towed, it don't look good :-( fingers crossed!!!
