Magic Bmw Tax
I was once told BMW were a quality product,so only used quality materials, hence price. It was BMW customer service that informed me of this. No sure if I still believe in fairies.

What Made You Buy A Bmw?
The more I drive the old e38 the better i am liking it,went through a phase where I was toying with a 320 clk. Drove a few they were pretty good to but all were rusty. That's how I ended up with my big toy. Now wishing I had looked for the 4 litre.

Drink Driving
Drinking and driving is not acceptable in anyway. When I was younger life revolved around numerous pubs, as long as you never hit or injured anyone the local bobbys used to turn a blind eye. I once ended up on a back garden with an old sunbeam, lost a viva (locks and barrel goosed) to mates who every time they were foo thought it was funny to hide it. Broke my left foot once used the company I worked for cortina 2000 auto (that could use fuel) well I wasn't able to walk to the pub. Never touch a drop if I am driving nowaday. Used up all my luck in the old days.

Young Driver Insurance
We bought a Peugeot 106 1100cc for my son aged 18 it cost 950 quid, he found Aviva was the cheapest for 3rd party at 1380 quid. It was the same the second year. ( he had pass plus ) He's now 20 and has now bought a 1.8 Astra convertible. Me and the mrs started a multi car policy with admiral, both saved dosh on our cars however the young yin got 3rd party for the astra for 930 quid. From what I can see its the car, also it helps to have a mature female on the policy as a named driver.

Cutout Valve. Opinions Please
Had a e28 528 exhaust was shot, and on back order. My mate had a stage one Harley which sounded great. So out came the chopsaw and mig. Off came the system and 21/2" pipe was cut shaped and a new straight through system was created. Reckon we should have altered timing/ fueling,it was ok of the mark ,could drink the juice and I don't think it sounded that great. Had it that way for only a few day before fitting a centre box. Valve would be ok tho rattle some old window frames now and again.

Young Driver Insurance
Insurance companies are just a bunch of bankers. We are all paying for scams and hungry lawyers. Young people are being totally shafted across the board no matter how well they drive. Puting tell tails in cabs is out of order ( think how you did it at there age) Third party is the only way for young ones, cannt afford a claim. Many companies are doing multi-car policies, in my sons case it halfed what he was paying , which allowed him to upgrade.
