  1. Nope don't have the gear to reset codes. I disconnected the negative for 30 mins. That not long enough? Should I disconnect it completely ?
  2. Any suggestions as to what this could be? I had to change my coil pack as the car started misfiring and had erratic idle out of nowhere. The side of the coil pack on number 3 was slightly melted. I changed the pack and the HT leads and plugs but no joy. Number 3 isn't sparking. I checked it off the block. I even tried disconnecting battery and ecu to see if it needed to be reset but still no joy! It's a 1998 e36 318i. Any advice appreciated. A mate in work reckons I've to get new ecu and another lad said maybe a sensor in the crankshaft
  3. Hi all, im new to the bmw scene and not familiar with common problems just yet. My parking lights are not working but my rear indicators, reverse lights and brakes lights are grand, even the number plate light. What could this be? the bulbs were checked and they are grand. any advice much appreciated.
