Adrian Flux supporting the Bimmer Owners Club With the UK in coronavirus lockdown many people are asking what help their insurance provider can provide in these trying times. Adrian Flux has a special relationship with the Bimmer Owners Club and here we answer some of your coronavirus insurance questions. Is Adrian Flux still open for business? We are still available to take your calls and respond to emails. Our opening hours remain the same and you can still use the website to request policy changes and access policy information. Can I still change my BMW motor insurance policy? Yes, we are still here to help with your queries or you can use MyAdrianFlux to access and change your policy. I have been advised to self isolate. Can I pause my motor insurance? It is a legal requirement to have valid car insurance unless your car is registered as off the road. Therefore we aren't able to “pause” your policy; it must be active or cancelled. Cars can be damaged by accident or fire and they can be targeted by thieves even when unused and parked on private property so you may find it cost-effective to convert to laid-up insurance cover. If you take laid-up cover while you fine tune your BMW for the show season it will remain protected but the policies are cheaper because there is no third party risk. Doctors have advised me to self isolate. Am I still covered to drive? You will still be covered to drive but we advise against driving during the lockdown unless absolutely essential, especially if you are showing symptoms which could impair your ability. Adrian Flux has teamed up with some local car clubs and our friends at the Adrian Flux Arena (Norfolk Arena) to bring you an evening of automotive fun. This is our first time hosting such an event, being a specialist and modified vehicle insurer we want to meet you all and see what the scene is all about (you don't need to be an Adrian Flux customer to attend). This is a free event!! All makes and models are welcome, whether you own a sports car, modified hatchback or mud plugging 4x4, come along and show off your pride and joy. Although this is a static car meet there will be a Live DJ, Burger Van, Photographers and stalls where clubs can display their merchandise. And don't worry, there are also toilets on site. There will also be prizes on the night, presented by the Fluxbabes, who will be walking around choosing their favorite vehicles. Make sure you stop to get a picture with them! I'm obviously keen to investigate what has happened here as we certainly don't sell information to any third parties. The only thing I can think is have you possibly used a comparison site in the past and entered your telephone number? It may be a case that a comparison site has called you if you've had a quote at a certain time of year. This is obviously not ourselves calling, and is nothing to do with us, but if we were one of the top prices I assume they may be implying that we could help again?
