  1. Sat 30th March to Mon 1st April 2013 - Santa Pod Raceway

"An action packed Easter weekend of family Drag Racing entertainment including European Nitro Funny Car series, Jet Car Shootout and National Drag Racing. Plus all things powerful off track including monster trucks, stunts, displays and more. What was previously known as Easter Thunderball is now Festival of Power, a new bigger, better power fest."

Once again guys, this may seem far in advance but its only a few months away! There won't be a club stand for this event, however it seems like a good day out so maybe we can attend this event for more of a social? It seems that the Saturday 30th would be the best day for us to go. More information can be found on the website however the following will be occuring throughout the day.

    Top Fuel Shootout

    Jet Car Shootout

    National Drag Car Championships

    Monster Trucks

    Rocket Bike

    Aerobatic Air Show

    Stunt Rider

    Fireworks

    Radio Controlled Cars

    Pit Access

    Fun Fair

    Evening Entertainment

    Helicopter Rides

    Just drumming up interest.. Thanks!

  2. Plenty of notice this time guys! I know a few of you went to this event previously however, we didnt end up with as many members as hoped! So i'm hoping that with 8 months notice we can get a big turn out this year! I am just trying to drum up interest so I can see if it is worth me organising a club stand or not. The event is held on the 17th and 18th of August 2013, however it will be the 18th that the club will attend. The following information is from the website directly to give you a little insight..

"The show goes from strength to strength every year, with many thousands of BMWs on display in 2011. However, 2013 will be bigger and more special as the BMW Car Club celebrates it’s 60th anniversary this year. As well as this special milestone, the theme of the show this year sees the Club celebrating 40yrs of BMW Motorsport with a huge display of M Power vehicles representing all four decades. BMW UK will be in attendance again with a display of new and classic vehicles from BMW Classic. As always there is massive trade interest in the event, with lots of trade stands already booked, and the Club stand will also feature the ‘Club Shop’, along with a huge BMW Tombola with £££££ of prizes donated by BMW UK and the many traders in attendance. The National Concours final and a Show & Shine competition will take place, a ‘Cars for Sale’ section, and large displays from the Club’s Z Register, Alpina and MINI Sections. With free access to the Museum, use of the test track, and BMWs as far as the eye can see this is THE BMW event to attend this summer."

For those who don't know, the festival is held at the following address -

    The Heritage Motor Centre

    Banbury Road

    Gaydon

    Warwickshire

    CV35 0BJ

Thanks guys. And yes, i am mad planning this far in advance..
