  1. Cheers for the reply matey! Yeah I was think about something flexible like that so I'll have a look. Is that something you've had experience with or heard of? AND.....we taking performance or mpg? Cheers Dabsy Matt
  2. Hi all. I am after a cd headunit that is 09/2002 or newer. Do you have one available and if so what is the condition/price for it? Cheers, Matt.
  3. All about the Meyle HD for me, has similar problem on mine these new bad boys are spot on. Shop around, got my WB's for 70 each and then DL's for about 11 each. Top bargain hunter here!!! Haha
  4. Afternoon all. I have a very annoying issue. Both my doors inner fabric/rubber trims have come nigh on completely off! I'm sure this is a wear and tear issue and happens to everyone but my question is, what do you use to re-stick it! Tried a dab of glue but its useless . Some hardcore epoxy needed or something? Suggestions welcome and past experiences shared! Also, sneak and extra in......servicing her soon, any pro's/con's for changing original panel filter for "performance" panel filter or is this pointless? As always guys, thanks again!
  5. I know. Couldn't complain really. Paid £50 for both FCAB'S Paid £79.99 for each Wishbone Paid £24 for both droplinks. Very happy with the total price it's cost me.
  6. Well, I would......but I was lazy! Haha. Friend of mine fitted all as he has use of lift and all tools needed. For £50, I wasn't saying no!
  7. Thanks for the help Gav. I had see this. Wanted to keep the changer functioning (don't ask me why lol). Wanted to use the cable that goes in aux so when I scroll the mode key, I get all options. If I can't source something, I'll probably use that one you suggested. Cheers pal! Matt.
  8. Have now had Meyle HD FCAB'S, Wishbones AND droplinks. Couldn't recommend more to anyone!!! Brilliant results, ultra smooth driving now! Many thanks guys for advice! (I found parts cheap in some places, let me know if anyone wants to know some places to look) May
  9. Hi all. Firstly, apologies if this is posted in wrong section, I'm still pretty new. I am DESPERATELY wanting to use aux function for my ipod in my car! I am after a headunit for my e46 that HAS the auxiliary function. Ideally a CD headunit (I believe it was available on some tape decks???). I'd appreciate any suggestions where I can get one or if anyone has one. I have a cheap aux lead waiting but would also be interested in having any aux leads for sale too? Due to my hunting/experimenting, I have TWO tape deck units. If anyone wants one/both let me know. Both excellent condition. Thanks for your time guys, any advice is muchly appreciated!!! Matt
  10. Thanks for the reply Gav So do you reckon that's my main culprit for this then? It's winding me up something rotten. If I jack it up and waggle around the drop link, will it be obvious if its knackered?
  11. I'm that mad I forgot to say....... It's an E46 320Ci 2002. Sorry 😁
  12. Hi all. Been having problems with clunky/wobbly type sound from front end for a while now. It's mainly when going over a bump etc... Did my research and changed my FCAB's for Meyle HD ones and it seems to clunk even more! Am I right in thinking it may be the drop links? Is there anything else I could check for? If it is drop links, can I literally just jack the car and swap out relatively simply or is a ramp needed? I've read about the procedure needing full weight on car when tightening up that's all. All advice and help very much appreciated, it's driving me insane!!! Thanks guys!
  13. Thanks guys, yeah I've tried both of the above. Just asking about in case there is some I didn't know of. Every penny counts! Lol. Thanks again.
  14. So, it's that time! When I bought the car (E46 2002 320 Ci) it has these awful Enduro Runways on. Absolute death sentences! After reading about and researching a bit it seems the Falken FK452/FK453 are quite a popular choice with this car in my price range £70(ISH). My question is, anyone know a place to get these really cheap as I'm seeing mostly £80/110 at the minute. I only need the tyres, no fitting, as I can get that for free ;) Many thanks guys. Soon to be installing Meyle HD FCAB's due to my clunky little OE's dying a death!
  15. Thanks for the reply mate. Any recommended brands/suppliers to use for it all? Also, easy to do on the drive on jacks/axel stands or will it need to be on lift? Seen that the bushes can be a ##### to "convince" to come off and don't fancy putting the muscle on and ending up with my car on my face! 😖 Haha
  16. Hi. Been a member for a while but this is pretty much my first reach out for help! I have an E46 318Ci Coupe 2002, I will put some pictures up soon as she is a beautiful example. Noticed recently I have what I can only describe as a "loose" feeling or slight wobble when going over the old speed bumps etc. It is only at the front end and I feel it slightly through the steering wheel. I've searched about on here and I apologise if this has been addressed already elsewhere but I didn't come across it. I was thinking something like bushing replacement on the front control arms?? I'm semi-savvy with doing my own work but if someone could help me out with recommended parts, expected price and difficulty of job etc. that would be a great help. Thanks in advance, just looking through this group shows me it was well worth getting involved! Cheers guys. Matt.
  17. Hi all. Finally after months of saving/scrimping I am ready to take the plunge. I am in love with all things E46 and it comes down to the age old argument.....Petrol or Diesel??? I have personally never owned a diesel but regularly drive diesel golfs/focus with my job. I find myself torn between performance/driver satisfaction and the big one, during this financial climate (as my boss puts it ;) ) ECONOMY. Any advice on choosing between the two and any opinions on stuff like engine noise (diesel) and thirst (petrol) etc etc....would be greatly appreciated. I'll end this essay now! Thanks guys!
  18. Good news for my future purchase :) Welcome Paul!
  19. Hi to all fellow newcomers. I'm starting to think I might go with a 320ci. I've read through some common things to check for. Any advice on stuff I might not know is greatly appreciated.
  20. Cheers guys. I'll give it some more thought. Budget up to 5k but I have seen some bargains for a lot less in great nick. Usual outlook really, best trim I can get for my dollar! I'm pretty patient so I'll keep the researching going.......... Thanks again, impressed with the support so far!
  21. Thanks for all the info here. So are we saying the 318 is just too slow? Had not even considered a D to be fair. I would probably lean towards the petrol and would be looking at anything between something like 2000-2005ish. Still open to ideas and researching. Thanks for all this.
  22. Thanks lads. Like I say, looking to buy a 318ci or possibly 320? (more likely the 318! Lol). Any major pitfalls to look out for and will miss out on abything major opting for a 318? Obvs a bit of power but I can live with that.....just ;)
  23. Hi all, just joined as I am looking into buying a 318 Ci (E46) or similar (depending on finances ;) ) in the next few months. I just wanted to introduce myself as I will no doubt be picking brains over the net few weeks on buying advice and general help. I have no major modification plans but general up keep and maintenance will obviously be going on. Really excited for my new car, coming of the back of my 1.6 16v SXi Astra! Lol. Cheers guys and I look forward to talking to some of you. Id appreciate any advice I may need also.
