Hi Dave, I had it in BMW Rustington today for the EGR cooler recall and signed up for the service plan as it looked good value. Good to know Walkers are round the corner if anything crops up.

What are everyone’s recommendations for servicing in West Sussex, stick to BMW paying the service plan or use an independent, are there any 100% top draw ones near Billingshurst. I also have black wheels and paintwork which could do with a good detailer or body shop to polish out bird doo doo rash marks and I expect the wheels will need doing at some point, again recommendations in my area. Cheers.

Just to confirm it was a new compressor that was changed in the end.

Hi Dave, I already have connected drive, I just think as it was a late 15 it just doesn’t have the upgrade, I saw the MMi box from Droid UK but have seen some bad reviews which is kinda putting me off so was just seeing if anyone else recommended it, they also do the rear camera in the handle, all looks a bit cheap to be any good.

I have been looking at upgrading somehow to Apple CarPlay, I have seen various company’s offering a mmi unit but with various reviews good and bad, has anyone upgraded this with out taking the car apart to much with no issues and it works well…

Picked up new to me X5 Msport 2015 Saturday then last night it come up with a warning ⚠️ Chassis function warning and to consult service centre, it went out on the next trip last night so is this something I need to get sorted or just a glitch.

Hi Dave, thanks for the info, I am in Billingshurst so those 2 places are very local and will help in the future, should be in a position to seriously find a car just after Christmas as the lease goes back in March, there are a couple of local dealers here that have what I am looking for but from what I can see there a bit over priced so might will have to look a bit further out. I have not driven one yet but I am sure I will like the ride.

Hi Stu, I have leased VWs for the last 2 cars personally as the deals were good, unfortunately there is no good deals now and 18 month waiting lists so I have decided to buy a used X5, I think my budget will offer up something around the 2015 / 2016 area, having owned a discovery before I leased I know all about making sure I get the right one so not to get stitched.
