It’s the actual pedal not returning, it didn’t have a pedal before I got the car, and when I put a new one in it didn’t return back to idle. I cleaned the throttle body today and reset the sensors in it, thinking that would help but the only thing that happened was my rpms lowered. I’m thinking it might have something to do with the spring at the top of the bar

Just bought my first car, I’m having problems with the gas pedal not returning to idle, I lubed the throttle return spring, tightened the throttle cable, and it still won’t come back to normal, does anyone have any ideas on what it might be?
