  1. Hi Dave, Car cut out on me, got AA to come out, ran the diagnostic check and found nothing code wise to suggest what the problem was, had to then get a tow truck to a garage. The car now starts, but it then immediately cuts out, like the ECU detects an instant issue and kills the engine
  2. Hi Dave, No warning lights at all, the Mrs was driving it yesterday when it suddenly cut out, she then then starts straight away, but as soon as you try to put it into any gear, the engine then cuts out, called the AA out, but then 20 minutes or so later, tried starting again and went into gear and drove home, just concerned now as I can do long journeys with work and don't want it happening. I will get a diagnostic check asap to see if that shows anything. Have seen posts about a faulty MAP(manifold absolute pressure) sensor causing this kind of issue?
  3. My X5 starts fine, but as soon as put foot on brake pedal to put into drive(automatic) engine cuts out!!!!!!
  4. thanks all for reply, I drive long distances so would have thought the key would charge up, will see about getting a replacement battery instead.
  5. Hi all, sorry if this exists already, but my remote central locking only works if i'm stood at the very rear of my car, anywhere else around the car and no joy, have heard of the 'aerial diversity amp' could this need replacing? or could it be something else?
  6. Thanks, I have replaced the bulb holders in both clusters, but think I will have to give them all a good clean.
  7. Hi all, I keep getting warning lights as soon as start up car, saying rear brake light failure or rear fog light failure, but having checked them from the outside they illuminate fine, is there some sensor somewhere or anything else that could be causing these errors?
