  1. Hi, buy the sounds of it you are heading in the right direction keeping ahead of any necessary maintenance needed, I have fitted both de-cat and EGR blank to my 525d I have noticed a mild improvement in economy and power, it passed the MOT with flying colours mine had 4 "cats" but now only has 2. I would recommend using some fuel additive every now and again to help keep things healthy.
  2. Yes your right, O/S in front of the wheel.
  3. I swear by the osram night breaker, I use them in all my cars, always found them cheaper on ebay.
  4. Hi, I recently did the same job on my E39 525d, its quite an in depth job really, there are several other items on the car that have to be removed or slackened off to allow access. Providing you take your time and are relatively competent at wielding a spanner you should do fine. I replaced the bushes in mine as I have a press (and I'm a cheap skate) but you can buy the whole assembly if needed (ebay was my chosen supplier). Realoem.com is a great tool to use and don't forget to look up the torque settings needed. Hope this has helped and good luck.
  5. Hi guys and girls, my name is John I'm new to this site and this is my first post, I am not new to bimmer ownership however, I currently own an E30 325 cabby, E39 525 D touring and a few e36's touring and coupes.
