I'm after a face lift (or maybe Mtech 1) e30 convertible in black with a budget of around £4K (might stretch it a bit for the perfect car) preferably a 325, but would consider a 318 or 320, might also consider a red or grey one.

They are all Cam chains as far as I know. The problems experienced in the 3 Series were with the E90 series N47 Engines.

As with any car just look for the usual things. Check there are no knocking noises coming from suspension and steering. Check for leakes etc. Pretty solid car otherwise.

I am not aware of a kit. You have a lot of checking to do, you need to establish.

If your existing mirrors have the motors fitted and the loom in place you will need the drivers door master switch witch includes the mirror operating button.

The complete mirror assemblies are horrendous in cost (even on Ebay)

With any luck all the wiring is there by default but I am not sure. If it is then it's mirror motors and micro switches and the master switch.

Then with BMW 1.4.0 or INPA you can code them to work

You got 2 pumps on the e39 one inside the tank which is a primary pump if that's ok most likely to be the inline pump under the plastic trim under the near side of the car.

New disc arrived one to upgrade software other one maps. 5 min all up and running. Thanks for the heads up.

Cool, apparently I can connect them to the foot well light on the passenger side. Just waiting for some solder to arrive so I can solder the wire joints up. Plus I need to replace the rubber seals for my head lights and they are ridiculously expensive.

Im surprised it needs topping up already. Best off getting the aircon system serviced and topped up if necessary.
