  1. I think ive jinxed my car joining this site haha . Just got in car to come to work. Cold night started motor wipers on bit of ice forming but nothing to make wipers stick clearing window fine then they stopped for split second i mean a split sec then started again , but when i shut them off they stopped in my side of window straight up in my field of view . Put them back on but stopped again in same position when i switch off . Anyone had this happen to them ..
  2. No its ok diesnt go heavy at all . Looks like level is half way but not sure where level should be because doesnt seam to have any level indicator . I can put finger in its about an 1.5" from bottom of res .
  3. Hi thought id share this one with you . I recently had a few problems with car starting , now when i say starting more lack of starting . First happened outside wifes work key in ignition nothing just flat as pancake left it whilst looking under hood tried again , and away it went we got home . Fine for couple weeks then bam happened again in tesco car park unhappy called mate for a lift home . 20 mins in tried car again bam started no probs . Took it to mates garage he thought it was a faulty fob signal etc . Anyway car fine for few days until taking kids to zoo . Overtaking a car at 60 mph suddenly lost power and got fuel injection fault on dash car went into some sort of mode till it packed in on the kerb . Luckily i wasnt to far from home so pal towed me home . Now key fob was not the problem or my fuel injectors they were fine it turned out to be one of my fuel pumps had packed in . Now bmw said it was injectors and it was going to cost a hat full of cash but with having pal in buisness he confirmed this not to be the case and it was fuel pump so i thought id share this with you for future reference so to speak
  4. Hi i have a 2005 e53 x5 , recently ive been getting a decent groan from the engine bay , it is definately connected to the power steering because it gives me different pitches of sound when wheel is turned one way then the other , power steering seems to be working and noise goes after a while but always there in mornings , !Removed! neighbour actually commented " that sounds expensive " cheek ha can anyone help !!!!??
  5. Hi this happened to a pal of mine pretty much same scénario , his car went into (according to guy in the bmw garage ) transport mode , it shouldnt do this but sometimes it does it cost £30 at the dealers for them to reset .
  6. Hi as far as i know it isnt a foam one you will get it will be the vortex type. Its basically a straight swap . A bit of a pain to get to , just make sure you get your seals in properly and it will look after itself . Changed mine on my 05 plate pretty painless really :)
