Club Team Members Wanted
We have Moderator's vacancies on BMW Owners Club Why become a moderator? Anyone who’s moderated a forum already knows how rewarding it can be. If your goal is to fill an ego-based need like status or popularity, you probably won’t make a good moderator. A good reason to become a moderator is that you love helping people and are looking for an outlet to contribute, give direct ideas on the development of the club. Great moderators are active in their forums, and they love seeing their communities blossom. An active moderator has tremendous influence over the type of community that evolves. If there’s anything you’ll get out of being a moderator, it’s that you’ll build stronger communication and leadership skills. We are looking for moderators who 1. Have previous forum moderation experience (although not fully necessary as training can be provided) 2. Can be decisive, fair, consistent, and mature in moderating forum posts 3. Can participate actively in the forums themselves, at least daily 4. Have a passion for cars 5. Have strong English skills (people from all countries are welcome) 5. Can be part of a team Rights: • Boxing a thread or post (boxing is removing from public view) • Move Topic to the right category • Pinning Topics • Editing posts • Closing and Opening threads • User Banning • User Warning • Crediting Contributors (giving contributing members award stars) Obligations: • On-Topic control (keeping threads on topic) • Maintain order within the community • Keep forum clean (remove spammers) • Reward users (giving contributing members award stars) • Assist members in organising events (pinning or promoting) • Help Increase forum popularity How to apply If you’re interested in becoming a moderator, then please complete the following form with the following info: In the body of your mail please provide us with the following: • Some basic info about yourself (who you are, what you do, what car you have, your main interests, and do you moderate elswhere?) • Previous forum moderation experience you’ve had if any (or why you’d make a good moderator) • Which particular forum(s) you’d most enjoy moderating • Your location (ideally we’d like to build an internationally diverse group) • Why you’d like to be a moderator • Any ideas you would bring to the group if any BMWOC Moderator Application
