Jayzzle Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Thanks mate. Yeah I checked it out, was gonna have a go at taking it off for the shop cus he didn't know what I was talkign about, but I couldn't see how they split? Seems like the middle is 2 solid knuckles welded together.. Maybe I'm just blind but I didn't want to have to take the whole thing off to do it yet so I left it. I have got a problem still though with what I have done, My o/sf is pointing in an entirely different direction to my n/s/f lol, and the brake pad warning light is still on even with brand new sensors fitted? Could it be because neither sensor is actually in the brake pad? Or do I have to reset the light? Quote
Guest Mister Dabsy Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Reset is advisable. The U/J on the prop should have circlips holding the knuckle in place, if not then drop the lot from box to diff (8 bolts) and the centre carrier (2-4 bolts) ;) Quote
Jayzzle Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Any idea how I can reset it? do I need a special tool or anything? And if I take the whole thing off, will I experience any leakage? Thanks dude. Quote
Guest Mister Dabsy Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 An old trick is to disconnect battery for some hours to reset, otherwise a tool in the socket under the bonnet !Minimal spillage ;) Quote
Jayzzle Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Some hours you say, you mean like, an overnight job? And there are lots of sockets under the bonnet! Haha. Ok, I'll drop the exhaust (needs changing anyway apparently) and have a butchers at the join, see if I can spot any circlips. If not I'll have at it with the spanners like a lunatic! On the plus side, I've just had a phone call, my Centre Bearing is at the shop! Excite! Hopefully it will be the right one, collecting tomorrow! Quote
