Is there any way of keeping the tv on when moving, my car is a 1995 320d with idrive, thanks

Answer to your question is Yes, but such action is dangerous and irresponsible.

BMW made them that way for a reason and BMW Owners Club does not support the breach of such safety feature. Any instructions will deleted
