having recently purchased a 55 plate E60 530d Touring it is now back with the dealer after 5 days of ownership. the rear high level brake light failed, the front eyebrow LED's failed, the stereo wont tune in to my local settings and just gives a load of static and to top it off i took it for the wheels to be balanced and found both the nearside wheels to have great dents in the rims. the dealer is doing his best and has told me they are getting a specialist auto electrician guy in to look at the electrical issues. real bummer and has somewhat soured the delight of my drive. given me a 93 Saab as a curtasy car and its dreadful.never buy one of these as this one i have is fairly new and its a dog to drive. anyone else suffered similiar electrical problems??

No, but at a guess it could be one of the wires have broken in the tail gate/shell.

dont let this put you off the car, it will be a cracker and I would be glad the dealer is putting it right rather than washing his hands so to speak

When you pick the E60 back up... Walk in with a Samurai sword and demand that they Yield to the mighty Bob ;)

i have to say the car dealer is being extremely good so far and doing their best to resolve the issues. we'll have to keep an eye on it as things get more costly and whether he'll fund the repairs to my satisfaction. i hate the saab, its a pile of crap

Did you take their warranty? If yes, watch that they don't use it as it may void any future work ;)

RangieBob, take a look at this - I wasn't quite sure what the E60 530d looked like, so I did a little Google search, and on the very first page - there you are!! Fame!

Haha nice one Jac. It works on your browsers cookies to bring you to related links. If I search "Daz e28" I get all pics of me and every picture I have posted on the forums I am a member of helping people. Just posted a picture of a Heater Matrix to help another member and when I google "Daz" up the picture comes lol

Bit creepy to know the browser is storing all my details :S but meh, that's the internet for ya!

guys. finally got my E60 530D back after 2 weeks of faffing about with the problems when i brought it. thankfully all ok now but they have done a bodge job, the rear washer pipe was not connected and the spoiler is now all scratched, looks like they put it on the floor and accidently kicked it causing the top to become all scratched, bummer. love my car but i hate garages, they never take care and don't ever do a faultless job. no wonder i normally do all my own work. guy coming over next week to sort out the scratches so soon be perfect again.
