Hi all,

What an informative site!

My name is Rhys, im 26 and from Carmarthenshire West Wales.

I have just purchased my second BMW, a Z3 in BR Green on a T plate with 44k on the clock.

I already have a 320d M sport as my works car, but when looking for a sporty number, there were only two real options, a Z3 or a Z4....maybe another day when i have more funds for a Z4.

The new (to me) car has fsh and is in amazing condition for its year, few bits of paint i need to get touched up, but if i look as good as it does in a few years time i wouldn't complain!

Started a bit of modifying already having added a K&N 57i induction kit and some 18" alloys (wider rears), next is a stainless exhaust and the paint work touch ups and then to enjoy some more driving in it.

Hope to chat to some like minded members and help out where i can.

Regards,

Rhys

Hello mate and welcome to BMWOC! Would like to see some big pictures of your Z3 mate! What engine is it?

I trust you'll find the site informative :)

Hi Jas,

It's the 1.9, 140bhp. The insurance and associated costs of the rest would put the 2.2 and 2.8 out of my league.

Being honest it has plenty of poke, and makes a great noise doing it.

I will try and get some bigger pics on the forum soon, suffering from roadster related sun burn at the moment so trying not to move much, so it may be a few days!

Regards

Rhys

No problem with the engine mate! I had the M44B19 (that's the engine code!) in my old car! The engine was plentiful in my 318iS Coupé and I loved it! Properly revvy little engine!

Welcome Rhys, Enjoy the forum

Thank you for all the welcomes guys....what a great place this is

welcome mate, as jas, I had a 318is years ago and that had plenty of power, had great fun with it, so in the Z3 must be a lot more fun.

Its is quick, largely due to the weight aspect.

Got to sort out the rear suspension bushes though as the squeak is starting to get annoying lol
