Hello, got my first bmw!! but the sunfoof is not working!! taken the motor out and it is jammed so assume I need a new one.

Does anyone know if I can test the operation of the sunroof(to see if the sunroof works ok or if it was that what made the motor jam!) the motor will not turn with the allen key. Also where is the best place to get a second hand motor, also appears to be different ones for different modles ie coupe etc my car is a 2001 sport 4 door saloon
