Ok so its my first post and im after some help please! This is my first ever bmw its a 325m sport 05 convertible. I love the car its so comfy for every day use.

I fitted the wind deflector the other day for the first time and now the lid for the compartment where the roof sits will not shut propperly even without wind deflector there its sits about 2cm to high and is really getting me down as i cant seem to sort it!!

Any help would be very much appreciated

Tried pushing it down?

yeah just pops back up in goes all the way down then pops up like something isnt holding it

Try taking it off and checking the clips and if their fine I don't know mate

stupid question but what clips and what should they look like?

Not sure what they should look like trying to find a pic on google but it should be just under the top frame if the roof is down and the flap is open

Ok so had a better look today and it appeared the latches are t catching the roof compartment lid this causing the problem however I can't see why they are not catching do they need tightening of so how?

Not sure but you can find the answer on the Internet hope you fix it soon

Have the springs failed on the latches? Do they need resetting (winding to achieve latchable pressure)?
