Hey guys and gals,

Main problem being a nasty flat spot whilst maintaining a constant speed or acceleration. When in motion, I loose all power to the point where the pedal can hit the floor but does not necessarily stall. It's like the acceleration pedal temporarily disconnects from the engine! :S

Problem is intermittent and can happen both when crawling in traffic or driving normally. When the power is lost, the drop in RPM can be quite aggressive especially if your pulling away from a junction. Hit my head on the steering wheel today when leaning over to see incoming traffic at a junction! Jolts like a biatch

I can diagnose this myself but to save myself some of the time, I'm hoping I can get some suggestions before I start performing open engine surgery. Going to be Air, Spark or Fuel but what to check first?

Anything pop to mind?
