hi my names ianrob and got 3 series bmw 1997 softop

cannot get the power roof to open with the switch

also the warning light on the switch just keeps flashing away all the time

has anyone got any surgestions please

or do they know any where in birming area that mite have a look with out going to bmw agent

    Hi, this sounds like a fairly minor electrical fault to me. Any competent back street garage should be able to fix it.Don't be tempted to go to a main dealer- you'll probably get ripped off. The garage should be able to do a simple electrical test first to pinpoint the problem and tell you how much it will cost to fix. Hope I have been of help- Paul.

    Sounds like the roof may not have closed fully. Perhaps it may need to manually be closed in order for the switch to recognise its fully closed.

    Also the area where the roof is stored, is it clear?
