My BMW X3 seems to have constant problems, so far, 2 recalls, total wiring re-done as a result of a mouse but now having constant problems as a result of the re-wiring.  Last week my sunroof exploded whilst driving with no other traffic on the road, my car is yet again in the garage. Anyone else with BM series 3 problems ?

    I have read a few instances of sunroof's exploding in X5's both here and in the USA google is your friend if BMW try the old "never heard of it before" 

    As for your mouse issue the dealer ought to sort that without to much of a problem I would have thought. Replace the damaged section of loom (high in labour due to all the stripping out especially if it was inside the car.) If there are still issues there may still be some chewed loom in there somewhere. Rodent damage is hard to pin on BMW 

    Recalls are a fact of modern car ownership with all brands as Manufacturers have a duty of care and nine out of ten times are a safety check rather than a failure.
